How can Obama refer to McCain as the "politics of the past," while simultaneously bringing Biden on as his VP? Isn't that a double standard?

A few months ago, he lashed out at folks who were talking about the video of Obama's wife saying, "For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country." He told everyone that we cannot discuss his wife or his family.

Now, the little jerk and his camp are broadcasting ads that target McCain's wife!!!

This morning, I told my husband that someone, higher than BO, promised old Joe that he would be the president. Why else would he be on this losing ticket? I’m watching this live and BO just said I’d like to introduce the next president (pause, pause) vice president of the United States. So, it looks like old Joe will be running the whole show!! I hope Rush heard this slip of the lip.
