It's hard for Obama supporters to play the age card any longer, as their potential veep is all of six years younger than McCain.
His mouth will be an absolute time bomb. Will he refer to Delaware as a "slave state" again? Will he discuss who's behind the counter at 7-11s?
I'm reminded of a Rudy Giuliani response when Biden took a shot at him - "Joe's a good guy, we all criticize each other during this time... But for Joe Biden to talk about qualifications - he's never run a city, he's never run a state, he's never run a business."
That statement is true for both men on the Democratic ticket.

Gov. Kaine and Sen. Bayh, and others, may have quietly indicated to Obama that they preferred not to run as VP - notably in view of Obama’s recent poor polling numbers, and the present security of the elected offices they now hold.
Excellent graphic and potential bumper-sticker. A superb summing up...
Yep, McCain is one lucky AHole to face Obama al Biden.
I also think Obama was more limited in his choice than is seemingly apparent, he kept floating names until he got himself into a corner and had no good options. This VP selection process has been a harbinger of just how badly an Obama Admin would react to any and all national emergencies. The BO ticket has got to make a lot of voters increasingly uneasy about the key responsibility of the Federal Gubs...National Security.
Obama bin Biden! HA!
all biden has ever run is his mouth
Not exactly true. You see, Joe Biden was caught plagurizing his speeches by lifting lines from other foreign leaders.......
A snotty, old, new england, ultra-liberal washington insider. Way to go for Change! Nice time winning Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, moron. Have fun with the young female vote. Two pompous jerks do not play well with the estrogen crowd.
At least mccain has better hair and teeth.
Ping in re Biden Gaffes.
Here is what I've been posting over at DU.....
Obama's message is finally dead.
He flipped and voted for FISA
He flipped and voted against Iran
He flipped and spoke in favor of drilling
He flipped and supported the Second Amendment ruling
NOW, he picks a man who has been in the Senate longer than McCain, nullifying all the ads painting McCain as a "Washington Insider".
NOW, he picks a man who has said Obama is not ready, but that he would support McCain.
NOW, he picks a man who plagurized speeches, lifting lines from other foreign leaders.
NOW, he picks a man who is not Hillary, slapping every Clinton supporter right in the face.
I am done with this guy. He is a politician like all the others, no different, no change.
What a idiot. Not one of the major eastern newspapers got it on their front page, including the NYTimes.
Exactly.
After Mayor Newsom (San Francisco) appeared to be tilting "rightward" the powerbrokers of San Francisco Figured Massive "corrective" measures against Newsom: They contributed funds to have such notables as the "pot Smoking Dude", The Naked Man, and The chicken something, real individuals RUN against Newsom for Mayor; when in fact they were behind the GREEN PARTY candidate (SF County Republicans voted 80% for Newsom, and against the Green Party Candidate).
So unlike many here, whose valued opinions I've read, I'm of the mind that someone behind the scenes is trying to sink Obama's campaign with a Joe Biden for VP pick. But simultaneous to showing "respect" for the female vote.
That statement is true for both men on the Democratic ticket.
But at least they are BOTH lawyers!!!.../s
“...he’s never run a city, he’s never run a state, he’s never run a business.”
That’s ok. He sure knows how to run his mouth!
LOL! I love it.
Biden has always come across bad as far as I’m concerned. The man is a poser who tries to play macho man and he comes off as a fool. Considering the media footage in the last few days outside his home of him driving a big old truck, I’d like to see that be part of the discussion when global warming/gas prices comes up.
So, now the Democrats put forth candidates to run the Executive Branch of the United States government who, between them, have absolutely no executive experience.
Furthermore, these law-school trained candidates, both with only slight experience in the actual practice of law, come from the least representative branch of government, the Senate!
