Many are the plans in the mind of man...

I've been hearing terrestrial predictions from good and decent men (many of them Evangelical preachers) since I was a child.

From Bill Graham, whom I love, to Jack Van Impe, to Oral Roberts, to Pat Robertson, and dozens more.

That doesn't make them evil, or unacceptable.

I recall during the 7-Day war (Israel vs Arabs) in 1967. Preachers all over America were making all types of pre-millenial and post-millenial and tribulation predictions and suppositions.

I'm not saying Joseph Smith was the purveyor of truth, or that Joseph Smith was not a distortionist of sorts.

But I could sift through history and find Popes, and Lutherans, and Protestants of all stripes who made wild and crazy predictions that later seemed almost laughable.

Thanks, Edit35, for your clear religious perspective on men/women of the cloth throughout history. How true.
