Alice In Obamaland (IBD Series: The Audacity Of Socialism)

Election '08: One of the "lies" Barack Obama says are being told about him is quite true. It involves a staunch admirer of the Soviet Union and its communist society who helped launch Obama's political career.

Among the alleged lies mentioned in the Obama campaign's 40-page response to author Jerome Corsi's book "Obama Nation" is the claim that when Obama ran for state senator, "instead of stepping aside in deference to (state Sen. Alice) Palmer, Obama decided to fight her for the nomination."

The Obama campaign quotes a state representative who said Palmer "pulled her own plug."

But as ABC News senior correspondent Jake Tapper notes on his blog, it is Obama who is the truth-challenged one. "This is not a lie, this is true," Tapper says. "Palmer had decided to run for Congress, and Obama was tapped to run to replace her. When Palmer lost in the (U.S. House) primary, she wanted to stay as a state senator. Obama said no. He had every right to do so, but he decided to fight her for the nomination instead of stepping aside in deference to her."

According to the Chicago Tribune, Obama operatives flooded into the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners on Jan. 2, 1996, to begin the tedious process of challenging hundreds of signatures on the nominating petitions of Palmer and three other lesser-known contenders for her Illinois state Senate seat. They kept challenging petitions until every one of Obama's Democratic primary rivals was forced off the ballot.

“Obama’s victory was more than a progressive move,” Chapman wrote. “It was a dialectical leap ushering in a new era of struggle. Marx once compared (the) revolutionary new era of struggle with the work of the mole, who sometimes burrows so far beneath the ground that he leaves no trace of his movement on the surface.”

Is O the mole?

"Is O the mole?"

There is a mole, or, if you will, a man behind the curtain somewhere in there, but it is not Obama. Obama is nothing more than an eloquently tailored empty suite, a teleprompter reader and nothing more.

Well, he's also a lying sleazy scumbag that some of us saw through from the start.

Maybe OB and his supporters are sort of like blind Naked Mole Rats — the only mammals that lives in a collective (Marxist) society like insects.

This article from the Houston Press dated Feb 28, 2008 is a long read, but it has some very interesting background on Obama's early career, including how he managed to get everyone else disqualified. Here are some excerpts:

Obama hired fellow Harvard Law alum and election law expert Thomas Johnson to challenge the nominating petitions of four other candidates, including the popular incumbent, Alice Palmer, a liberal activist who had held the seat for several years, according to an April 2007 Chicago Tribune report.

Obama found enough flaws in the petition sheets — to appear on the ballot, candidates needed 757 signatures from registered voters living within the district — to knock off all the other Democratic contenders. He won the seat unopposed.

"A close examination of Obama's first campaign clouds the image he has cultivated throughout his political career," wrote Tribune political reporters David Jackson and Ray Long. "The man now running for president on a message of giving a voice to the voiceless first entered public office not by leveling the playing field, but by clearing it."

************

Three years later, in January 2003, Obama announced his bid for the U.S. Senate, where he cruised to victory thanks to the self-destruction of his top opponents in both the primary and general elections.

Obama joined a crowded field of seven candidates vying to fill an open Senate seat being vacated by retiring two-term incumbent Peter Fitzgerald. For months, he polled in the middle-of-the-pack behind frontrunner and former securities trader Blair Hull, who spent $30 million of his own fortune on the primary.

But Hull's campaign imploded just weeks before the election when his divorce files were unsealed, revealing an ex-wife's charges of verbal and physical abuse.

Obama unleashed a barrage of television ads just before the election, when the other candidates had largely depleted their war chests. He won the nomination with 53 percent of the vote.

In the general election, Obama squared off against another multimillionaire: Jack Ryan, who later dropped out of the race after a judge ordered his divorce files unsealed. The documents revealed that Ryan's ex-wife, actress Jeri Ryan, a former Miss Illinois best known for her role as Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager, accused him of trying to coerce her to perform sex acts in public.

I remember long ago asking my government teacher if freedom to vote meant that people could vote for communism.

Freedom is a very fragile thing my FRiends.

From "An American Expat in Southeast Asia"

"...For the advocates of this perverse militant egalitarianism, reasoned argument is replaced by a conditioned reflex as Obama's legions of lickspittle automatons mindlessly parrot as "evidence" whatever Obama himself has written in any one of his own self-serving books. You see this has never been about the free interchange of ideas or even the ascertainment of truth, this is all about entitlement and nothing not even freedom or liberty is going to get in the way...."

I happen to follow US politics more than I do my own country politics--just to the north of you, because of my utter love, respect, and admiration for what AMERICA is doing, and has done on our planet; of course depending on who is in power. (Please, don't misread the "depending on who is in power statement.)

Together--North America--we've got to fight this cancerous utopian mind set, and determination of the socialists. To begin with, the USA cannot afford to elect an eloquently tailored empty suite, a teleprompter reader--like an Uh-Umbama making international decisions.
