What happens when creationists get close to getting their programs into schools is they run into several brick walls.
The most formidable is the Constitution and the court rulings that explicitly forbidden teaching creationism in science classes. These are much stronger than most people imagine. The go into detail about "teaching both sides" as a ruse to get religion on equal footing with science.
Another brick wall is the business community, which doesn't want state and local governments stigmatized as supporting bad education. This makes it harder to recruit white collar employees.
Another brick wall is the perception that losing major court cases is expensive. After Dover, Georgia caved completely on the textbook labeling case, agreeing never to try it again.
Another brick wall, suddenly noticed by the folks in Louisiana, is there simply isn't a scientific alternative to evolution. ID folks at every level are now discussing the fact that there is no theory of ID, no research program, no explanation for the nested hierarchy.
That's why I said the DI poll questions were phrased to help out the ID side. They asked questions like whether people agreed with the statement "When Darwins theory of evolution is taught in school, students should also be able to learn about scientific evidence that points to an intelligent design of life." Totally begs the question of whether such evidence exists.
What part of the constitution would that be? I put about as much stock in your understanding of the Constitution as your understanding of science and religion!
And as we all know by now court rulings are subject to change. It’s important to understand that Christians are tiring of courts being hi-jacked by godless liberals!
And as Christians further understand their rights...the ACLU is now on notice! How preposterous it is for instance that Los Cruces New Mexico somehow be FORCED to remove crosses from the town’s logo!
Los Cruces N.M. or “the crosses” has been a town for HUNDREDS of years, but godless liberals think that people are actually stupid and gullible enough to think their godless interpretations of the constitution means we just roll over like good little Christians and turn the other cheek!
Well ENOUGH already!
Here’s an idea....grow a pair and start attacking Islam in this country....
(insert crickets chiroping here!)
Of ALL places one would think by now that people that actually read your drivel reject it out of hand on a place called FR! ;)
