Their biggest complaint is McCain never spoke of this guard back in 1973 or so when he was released.

They never even fathom that for McCain to speak of this guard being a Christian and helping him from time to time would have been a death sentence for the guard in Communist North Vietnam.

They just don’t get it do they?

This is all they have to cry about? A story of a Prison Guard and a Cross?

Sounds like desparation to me.

I bet you the liberals are going to question the story of POWs communicating through cell walls via tapping noise. Isn’t that in some novel somewhere? Could be in the Gulag Archipelago.

That two prisoners would experience a similar Revelation that confirmed their faith during the most trying and difficult of circumstances is not surprising to me in the least. After all, Jesus knew suffering too.

Many people have similar conversion experiences as well, but that they are similar does not make them fraudulent.

These libbies are really desperate. And complete idiots.

This has been a very common thing between Christians in lands where they are persecuted. “Scribbling in the sand” is nothing new. The guard drew the cross in the sand, on Christmas, to let McCain know that they were brothers in Christ. Then he stubbed it out with his boot, because to be CAUGHT as a Christian, would have been a certain death sentence for that guard.

These idiots don’t have a clue what persecution is. They think persecution is when someone doesn’t agree with them. They wouldn’t survive a week in a Communist country.

I seriously have had it with the lot of them. They are on my (as mom would say) last nerve! Grrrrrr.

This is RIDICULOUS!

Does anyone remember the Bible stories about the lion’s dens, and how Paul himself was actually a Christian killer? It was kind of unsafe to be a Christian in some areas during some time periods.....

Christians would identify themselves to each other by creating a rounded line, a fellow Christian would add a nother rounded line in such a way that it created the fish.

Now— sit down folks. This is where it gets REALLY REALLY tough.....

THIS WAS DONE BY MORE THAN JUST ONE STINKING PERSON, and ON MORE THAN JUST ONE OCCASION!

I know, I know....it is hard to believe.....but it is true...it is really, really true....

I mean really? A whole thread dedicated to the fact that KOS and DU think they have cracked some major lie?

KOS and friends make accusations. FReepers use technology, and documents to show dishonesty of the Libs.

Let’s see what they throw next, and which Freepers run to fetch it like good little pets.....

geeeshkk.......

Jerome Corsi quotes a passage from one of Obama's books about letting a match burn down until the flame reached his fingers. When asked "what's the trick," he replies coolly: "The trick is not caring."

This is taken directly from All the President's Men, wherein G.Gordon Liddy is said to have held his hand over a candle until the flesh burned. When asked "what's the trick," he replies coolly: "The trick is not caring."

You want stolen stories? THERE'S your stolen story.

That accusation isn’t new. It came from a post here:

I seem to remember reading that about McCain on some GOP sites a year ago.

redstate.org had some posts from people claiming that McCain made it up.

Of course it is not provable, so really, what could the left do with this?

Unlike Hillary’s sniper story.... which WAS disprovable because of videotape footage.

McCain’s claim cannot be proven or disproven, so it really is a moot point.

Daily KOS is now reporting that the charge that McCain copied the story from Solzhenitsyn first appeared here, on Free Republic, in 2005. Here is the link to that charge on FR:
