I was referring to news stories I have heard since Obama’s campaign started late last year. These were on TV as throw away lines. At the time I thought them odd and out of place. Later, I realized they weren’t.
I watch too much tv news.

Fox News overall. ..somewhat muted in their post analysis; save for Huckabee; and see nothing on Drudge. ..no instant voter polls on 'who won' etc. The usual stuff after a political debate.
Wondering what gives here. . .is it because there is a 'second showing' of debatetonight and they don't want to give the 'clear winner' away - or. ..what?
(Afraid of riling/scaring the Dems anymore than they have already been scared tonight by Obama's performance?) Or are they all just in McCain shock?

The adoption question was a good one for contrast.
McCain and Cindy adopted a baby that was in the care of Mother Teresa - a baby that need a lot of medical help to survive.
Cindy brought her home - along with another baby needed extensive medical care. The McCains adopted one - now 17 - and Cindy persuaded a friend to adopt the other one. Those people said they never saw a medical bill for all their childs care.
Obama, we remember, once said he wouldn't want to see his daughters “punished” with a pregnancy.
the McCains walk the walk.

>>I have come to believe McCain is the only Republican that has a chance of winning in Nov.
Given the leftward direction public opinion seems to be moving, I agree. Unfortunate but true.

“I was referring to news stories I have HEARD...”
This explains why I hadn't heard that about Obama’s increased Secret Service protection. I occasionally tune into Glenn Beck, but other than that, I don't watch CNN at all. I got too disgusted with them during the Clinton years.
Is your tagline about your baby? Our niece has had to go to bed. Her little boy is wanting to come into this world too early. If your tagline is about your little girl, I hope she continues to do well.

Oh you mean he couldn’t get sprung from the POW prison by just speed-dialing William Kunstler or the EEOC or Al Sharpton??

It was downhilll for Fox News when Carl began with the lamest excuse for what he knew was a 'lame' performance. (. ..Obama is just back from island vacation and so a little offk perhaps -or close to that). So we are to assume conversely, that McCain had the benefit of working all week?
Anyway, made for a null/void discussion by and large; save for Huckabee; a breath of fresh air tonight; acutally. They just never moved their 'judgment compass' more than a few points either way.
Huge disappointement; and e-mailed them and let them know it.
Told them the viewers could clearly see what they could not. The huge differnece between a 'full suit'; and an empty one.

First - Obama knew long before this forum when it was. It was HIS choice to take a week-long vacation just prior to that.
Second - Are we to assume that if Obama is tired that he can't think on his feet? If that 3AM phone call comes in he won't be able to think straight 'cuz he's a wee bit sweepy??

To: ninergold3
lol and good point.
Of course, had he 'won'; I guess Carl might have offered how smart it was of Obama to 'rest up' before debate; unlike 'foolish is as foolish does' old John who worked all week. . .Carl did muster, finally, some honest support. Krauthammer; muted but praiseworthy of McCain. . .expected more of Bill Sammons. Mostly just thought maybe some Demrat body-snatchers had gotten most of this team tonight.
But something wrong when you feel you just might have watched an entirely different event than the one being reporting on. . .

He is a member of the council on foreign relations. He is a key advisor on Tony Blairs Religious Council. His statements have indicated an intolerance towards Christian Organizations that will take a firm stand on Scriptural tenets - i.e., will Call Islam a hellish religion, i.e., will firmly say right is right and wrong is wrong. He is against Islamic and Christian Fundamentalism and has made the two essentially equivalent. With the backing of his publisher, Rupert Murdoch, and with his global tentacles going all over the place, I believe he may well be part of the group that will eventually limit freedom of Religious expression in this nation and impose a global rule about what is and what is not acceptable religious speech and belief. I appreciate the insights on Warren.

I turned on CNN onl for the first time in a long time this week.
THe reference is to Amalia, a tiny baby whose little feet are about the size of your little fingernail. She’s not ours, but is a miracle. You can still see pix on hews stories. Hope all goes well in your family....Some people are quite impatient to get here! THey must have much to do!
