Livethread - Obama, McCain, and Rick Warren

Share your thoughts about the Saddleback Civil Forum, which starts at 8:00pm EST..
Will Warren throw softballs on the issue of abortion?
Will he give both candidates free passes?
Will this be an attempt to minimize the lives of the unborn while giving higher priority of less urgent social issues?

Poor Ann she had to make something up fast and look realistic pretending like he held his own even though you know she had to be screaming inside at what an idiot they put up.

Is there anyone here that can envision Obamba and Putin squaring off on a life-and-death issue for our country?
Perish the thought.

I'm just amazed at those on this Fox panel making Obama sound as if he was thoughtful. I switched to the Olympics. The talking heads on Fox obviously watched a different interview than I did. Obama danced around every question there was and the audience was not pleased..

I got your point. Did you see how neatly I defused it?

Ann is probably thrilled since she worked for the Hillary campaign.

During the primary I had an opportunity to see McCain interviewed by Peggy Noonan at the New York Athletic club. A friend was organizing the event and invited me to go and I did so only because I thought they needed to fill the seats (this was at the low point of McCain’s primary run).
During the event he was EXACTLY as good as you saw him tonight and since then I have had no hesitation in supporting him.

My guess is you won't hear it from either one and if you do it will be real quick and real non-commital. That's how the rats do when they lose and big time. They pretend like it never happened and the drive-bys go along.

Obama the prideful youth who hasn't grown up enough to realize how smart, savvy and experienced his elder is.
McCain the wizened elder who has lived and experienced more in his lifetime than Obama ever will.
The contrast was stark and Obama hurts himself big time with Evangelicals with his ducking and filling on abortion.

Do they even have moderators over there with language like that? If you don't drop the F-bomb at least every third post the mods throw you out as a "Freeper troll".

I have been to several of McCain’s town halls, he is very good in that setting. I am not surprised that he did well, he always excells in that setting. I still don’t care for him, but I am left with no choice but to vote for him.

"Poor Ann"
Yes poor Ann, but I really think she thinks most of the world agrees with her moral view, which is really immoral. That's a liberal for ya:)

You don’t think Pooty Poot would want to discuss the nuances of when life begins with Obarry? LOL

denying Obama his earplugs and teleprompters? Obama never looked at the audience - looked at the pastor some, but mostly his eyes kept going to down to below the top of the whatever it is they sat behind, as if he had the answers there to read...just below the surface of the 'whatever' = He eyes went down in the same way the Rev.s did when he read his questions.
McCain never looked down, but always either at the pastor or the audience. He didn't need a cheat sheet...
