Livethread - Obama, McCain, and Rick Warren

Posted on 08/16/2008 4:57:08 PM PDT by UFC Pride K1

Share your thoughts about the Saddleback Civil Forum, which starts at 8:00pm EST..

Will Warren throw softballs on the issue of abortion?

Will he give both candidates free passes?

Will this be an attempt to minimize the lives of the unborn while giving higher priority of less urgent social issues?

I am with you on this. For very personal issues dating back to the POW/MIA hearings in the early 90’s, I’ve had a fear that someday I might have to make a decision as to whether or not I could vote for John McCain for President. Some of those issues still remain because there are still questions regarding a missing soldier (my cousin).

Tonight, I decided that I can and will vote for John McCain.

You want an honest answer? I can’t stand McCain and he blew Obama away. He looked confident, sounded self-assured, knew exactly what his answers should be and they were the right answers 98% of the time, didn’t equivocate at all and he was witty, self-effacing and comfortable.

CNN 4:00 - 5:00 AM

FNC will play it back twice. Or lenghten it’s Stratagy Room time.

CNN and MSNBC drastically reduced/increased coverage depending on how well the one did or how poorly the GOP candidates did. Though they did favor McCain the other Democrat during the primaries.

Right now I love John McCain!

Yes, we’ve won, hands down.

McCain answered each question directly and offered the promise of the American dream. A dream where if you work hard and participate in America, you will reap great rewards, and the country will prosper.

Obama said that America sucks and he hopes it will get better.

McCain won!

Actually they will also repeat the Strategy Room as well.

MSNBC decided not to do any commentary. What Cowards.

He let Obama fail to answer the question. Trick question too. It asked when a "Baby" should be given human rights ~ and it really doesn't matter how you might "define" a "baby", you could at least say "at birth" or "at majority" or something.

Warren left Obamasama stumbling and then drifting off into an answer for an entirely different question which clearly wasn't asked.

What a pitiful performance.

Talking heads led by Dummy Shuster were only on about five minutes. MSNBC had to go to its second millionth showing of DocBlock: Violence in Prison. Matthews would not have had time to get in one of his “well thought out” comments.

Yes, we’ve won, hands down.

I can't believe some of these "talking heads" are saying Obama came across more spiritual than McCain. I guess its there fair and balanced??

“but anyone who believes in killing babies can’t be trusted on any other issue.”

You can trust them on property rights.

If she was real smart she would demand Obama do a quick townhall with McCain. When he bombed the Supers would switch to her in a hurry.

Alternately there are Dixi friends and FBI files to use/share.
