I'd like everyone to know that Cajungirl is in a potentially life-threatening crisis/illness.
She is a dear friend to me and others here know her by her humor and impressive writing. (We met during the hilarious Runaway Bride debacle, and C.G. gave us some hilarious instruction about Southern Culture and weddings and flatware!)
Few here know, and she never tells about herself, but she is a very accomplished woman in the healing profession. She has spent her life doing good works. She loves life, her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. Recently she partially retired and she and her husband have had plans to travel over-seas.
With a faith that is as strong as conviction, I ask you all to include her and her family in special prayers, because I know it will help.
This has come upon us all so suddenly. I am not only praying for her life. I pray that she be comforted by The Comforter , Himself. So be it, Amen.
Thank you all very much.
Actually it was dangerfield who posted the request. I was just the first one to respond. No problem of course but I wanted to make sure he got the credit. It looks like she came through well. Contiunued prayers for her recovery.
Speedy recovery, GF!
Mine are underway as well.
Prayers have been sent. May God in his infinite goodness help CajunGirl to recover from her illness. May God comfort you and your family through this difficult time.
Get well soon CG
Thinking of CajunGirl this morning - a FReeper I have seen on FR for many years :) Anymore good news?
Prayers for CajunGirl for a speedy and thorough recovery.
To my dear friends,
I am now 12 days post op and without complications other than a cranky disposition, no appetite, pain and misery, I think I am on the mend.
Then chemo starts which is supposed to be better than surgery,,hahhaha,,,like having a husband cheat on you being better than one who beats you.
But while the odds are not great for a complete recovery, the odds for a reasonable remission with some life and some recurrences is good.
I am told chem is not so bad altho I will be bald for a while.
But my spirits are good, my gratitude for all of the prayers and thoughts is immeasurable. I truly have felt so supported by all of you, by my dear dear family and friends. I know I am sick but I am doubly blessed by all round me.
Pat
You are in my prayers..
I know it sounds trite but remember
“Today is the first day of the rest of your life.”
That saying kept me going when I had cancer
thirty years ago.
besides, bald women are HOT.
Praying for you.
Your FRiend.

Please continue to keep our cajungirl in your thoughts and prayers.
Update at #268.
God bless you, dear FRiend!

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeee! The doctors can do wonders these days! And you will live a long time even if you have to go back for extra treatments. In Fairfax, Va., our infusion clinics are packed 24-7, but the drugs they have today keep a lot of people going for a long time. What was impossible 10 years ago is now a reality. I wish you luck in this venture : )
From one cajun girl to another, God bless you and you are in my prayers.
BTTT
Prayers continue.
you will wear your bald head with panache and grace, i have NO doubt! Continuing to pray for you that things go well. You know we love you : )
It sounds like things are going as well as can be expected. No complications, but not a lot of fun. You remain in my prayers my FRiend.
Prayers for you. I hope that you feel better soon.
Thank you so much for keeping us informed! Prayers continue...
