Well she already has more time with administrative experience than Barack Obama. It's not like the Dems can point to her lack of experience without opening the same charge to their PRESIDENTIAL candidate to an even greater degree.

Yeah, great choice. And by the way, her handling of the gay rights benefits issue indicates that her stance on issues might not matter much, since on that issue she didn’t do what she believed was right, and she didn’t do what the legislature or the voters wanted; she did what the state Supreme Court wanted.

Yeah she has a good story but the voters would never hear any of it through the MSM.

She’s got more experience than Obama? What a limp argument. Governor of Alaska for a year and a half, as opposed to Senator and former goof-off in a state legislature. Neither one is fit to be POTUS or VPOTUS on the basis of experience.

Moreover, if Palin is picked, she will not finish her term as governor. She will have risen like a bubble, just as Obama has risen.

How could McCain challenge Obama on experience, when he’d be so busy defending his running mate?

Just out of curiosity who would you like to see McCain choose for VP?

I'd say bring her on just to entice that comparison to come out. “Well our VP has more executive experience than your presidential candidate!” I'd say Palin or Romney would be he safe choices, get Palin out on a target range shooting some clay pigeons or whatever else outdoorsy she could do. I don't know that I really have a problem with Mitt either.

Who could bring us OH, VA, PA, MI, WI, MN, NH, NJ and make sure we keep ND, SD, and MT. All or most of this is possible with the right VP.

Well I’m not ignoring you, I just think bringing Newt Gingrich into the discussion would lay us open to charges of hijacking.
But ok, he’s brilliant and conservative and very seasoned. Beyond that, there’s the character issue, and the sad reality that Newt is “pre-demonized” by the media. Long since.
Still, I don’t put anything past McCain. It might happen.

Condi Rice is incompetent (one of our worst Secretaries of State, ever), and would do nothing to change the fact that McCain would be accused of tokenism, and that blacks will still vote 90+% for Obama.

" The only way McCain wins is if he selects a female or a black for VP. "
That simply is not true, that is what the MSM and Liberals would have us to believe.
McCain WILL win if he picks a true conservative.
Conservatives vote on principle, not color or on whether the person is male or female.

Just out of curiosity who would you like to see McCain choose for VP?

Is it really just curiosity or do you want to change the subject? :)

I don't really favor anyone likely to happen. For example, Dick Cheney would be great in the job, but he'll be going fishing next year.

Certainly I don't choose on the basis of color or gender or youth or looks.

Not to worry. McCain's going to win, despite all his warts. He'll win bigger with a running mate qualified to replace him if God forbid someone must.

PS: But if he picks Sarah Palin and she ever has to step into his position, Heaven help us all.
I’m seeing that disaster flick where the person who has to fly the suddenly-pilotless jumbo jet...is the stewardess.

Fred Thompson or Eric Cantor.

McCain could pick George Washington or Abe Lincoln for VP and I would still not vote for him.

Regardless who the VP is, the Presidential nominee is still McCain. The VP choice is just lipstick on a pig and nothing more. We will still be stuck with McCain no matter how you try to sugar coat it.

I like Sarah “Drill, Baby” Palin. Eric Cantor would be great too.

She is not only pro life, but she walks the walk. Five kids, one who has Downs Syndrome. No doubts about that stance.

Why do you think victory is guaranteed with Palin?

As you know there would be no media glorification of her being a woman.
She’s not a liberal/leftist so they will create a standardized sentence to belittle her in every story about her.

Like this:

Gov. Palin the first woman govenor is the executive for Alaska, an obscure state where ultra right wing extremists are more welcome than in the rest of the US....

Blah, blah, blah ad nauseum.
