what HIS BILL DOES DO— is it makes DRILLING a DAMN OPTION! ALONG WITH EVERYTHING ELSE!

I know everyone already knows this, but we would probably have oil coming in right now from Alaska if our nominee had only gotten his gang of 14 to support Bush’s energy bill in 2003 or 2005. Now he sees the light in a presidential election year.
OK, got it off my chest. As Mike Huckabee says “you can drill in my backyard tomorrow if you think it will help.” Drill here, drill now.

can someone explain to me how the oil/ mineral leases work?
I keep hearing this mantra about how oil company already have 70 some milllion acres to drill on, yet aren’t.
I’m sure it’s because of EPA regs, or possible low grade oil on this AVAILABLE LAND, difficulty or whatever.
But I’m looking for an intelligent response to this liberal retreaded argument
