note that when it was admitted that edwards campaign paid hunter, it said that she was ‘among others’ who were also paid hush money.

The raison d'tre for The Enquirer is sensationalism. Period. I never thought they were merely a trash tabloid. In fact, if the rest of the print media were as conscientious AND objective in researching stories, they might survive.
I would trust an Enquirer reporter any day ahead of any from the New York Times. It's interesting the NY Post finds the Enquirer a reliable source.

I've been wondering about this myself...and I hope the FEC does too.
Absent a full complement of members the FEC cannot formally meet to consider problems such as Edwards payment of campaign funds to hookers.
Guess he thought Edwards was going to be Obama's VP.
