I would back the plan to make the capital off limits to the Russians, and encourage them to back off. If they wouldn’t, and tried to be aggressive, I’d expand that. I don’t want to jump in with both guns blazing.
I understand where you’re coming from, but I’m not convinced it would be the best way to handle it.
Im talking about restraint. There already are people bashing Bush for doing nothing.
Did Georgia prewarn Bush that they were going in with troops into South Ossetia and Abkhazia? So why should we jump into the fray?
We need to show our muscle and make sure we are not going to lose this corrider to service our troops and at the same time support an ally.
