Let’s take a look at this. Georgia had to build up forces to go into South Ossetia. As soon as Georgia went in, the Russians poured in on the flanks of the attacking Georgians. The Russians have now muscled their way over halfway through Georgia and that means a considerable commitment of military hardware. Then they cut the East-West highway and opened up a second front, with more military hardware commitments in west Georgia,

That not only means that the Russians had advance notice, they had to have had significant advance notice. That is very rough territory to get around in. So the Georgian government had to have been riddled with spies and they had to have been reporting back for some time. Given the cyber war Russia is waging, the Georgian computer links must all have been penetrated and for a fairly long period of time.

In short, the Russians have been planning to use Georgia to set an example and terrify the escaped Soviet Republics back into the Empire. AND THAT PLANNING HAS TO HAVE BEEN GOING ON FOR A CONSIDERABLE LENGTH OF TIME!

We’ve been suckered by our desire to think that other people are just like us—or would like to be.

Well the President has essentially said the Russians must stop the war or . . . It is normal to make a statement just short of an ultimatum before you make the ultimatum. We have now done that. The next step would be to make an actual threat. I am not much of a poker player, but it is soon going to be time to lay our cards on the table. If we do nothing, things are going to go downhill very fast.
