Issac Hayes passed away this morning, comfirmed by Shelby County Sherrif's office. More later when article is posted.

He had a stroke earlier this year, per news reports.

I can’t believe Isaac Hayes aka Chef is really dead.

May he Rest in Peace. Prayers to him and his family.

His voice gave me a lot of great laughs watching South Park.

I guess it’s sort of like Phil Rizzuto. A lot of younger folks knew him as the guy from the Money Store commercial or a Yankee broadcaster. They had no idea he ever actually played SS for the Yankees.

A lot of people don’t even realize that Isaac Hayes was an accomplished musician.
