So how should Freepers feel about the Olympics? Should we write about it, post about it or covering it in any way?
I feel that every American (including President Bush) that are in attendance at the Olympics are traitors to democracy and civilization.
These commie bastards are our enemies. Each and every Chinese citizen (and I use that term citizen very euphemistically), each man, woman and child are enemies to the USA, the west, and basic civilization. They look at us as enemies and we should return the favor. Look where pretending that "they really don't mean it" got us where it concerns Muslims!
China should be treated as the lepers that they are, not as useful and legitimate citizens of the international community.
We should have, every western nation should have, boycotted these Olympics once the pliable and most likely bribed Olympic Committee chose China to host the games.
But that's just me.
What will be the consensus of our community?
You're getting emotional. Go put on your favorite Barbara Streisand album and have your boyfriend start you a bubble bath and fix you a nice fresh mint latte.
Thank you Comrade. Are you in charge of ricksha parking at Beijing Olympic parking lot #117?
LOL
BTW, I’m off this thread. Who wants to get into a useless argument with the Bushbots and the “Chicoms manufacture my lead-filled toys and so I love them” crowd on a Sunday morning”?
I suppose I could point to DU and say that all Americans are slimly little potty mouths who hate God and America. I would bet most of the Chinese people here who hate America have been taught so on American campuses by American professors. I have traveled to southeast Asia several times and to Europe. The people in southeast Asia are so much friendlier to Americans.
An interesting scenario is developing in women’s basketball. There is an American player who shared MVP of the year last year in the women’s league. Her name is Hammock. She is a point guard and was not invited to compete to be on the American team. Her dream has been to play in the Olympics since she was a little girl. Since she plays in Europe during the off season, she is eligible to play on other teams. The Russians are paying her $2,000,000 to play for them. She WILL be playing for them. It has caused quite a stir in the Women’s basketball world here. She has stated that she would have gladly given up the $2,000000 if the Americans had only given her a chance to compete to play for her country. It should be interesting! Especially since the Russians beat the Americans and went on to win the silver in the last games.
I read that Obama bought $4M worth of campaign advertising during the Olympics and McCain bought $5M worth.
This was a week or two ago, so the numbers could have changed.
Just calling it as I see it. You are an emotional little thing.
> Shut up fool! I don’t need your whiny nonsense.
Why, Mister T! What a pleasant surprise. Still selling Snickers?

“I pity da poor fool what bad mout’s da Olympics in front of ME, MISTER T!”
I just can’t stand all the scripted yapping from the commentators.
Naah, mine is #118.
Hey nancy boy. The subject is the Olympics. Stay focused. Can you do that?
> Keep your distance from those kiddies, wouldn’t want to see you in trouble with your probation officer.
LOL!
China is not in SE Asia, FRiend. I agree with your comments about Asians, in general, though.
The Chicoms and their minions hate the US because of Taiwan, Japan, and US presence in Asia. No liberal professor needs to teach them such hate.
You’re not even an American. LOL! Just a NZ wuss. Real tough guy, eh! LOL! Do you have a lisp?
Obama spends $5M. You are actually right about McCain. I googled and found that his campaign decided at the last minute to buy $6M. Have you seen any of his?
