Sen. Barack Obama's campaign has admitted to receiving $33,500 in illegal foreign contributions from three brothers in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, but the left-wing Daily Kos website suggests WND whose Jerusalem bureau chief Aaron Klein investigated the story might have concocted a convoluted scheme to make the Illinois senator look bad.
The brothers in question Monir, Hosan and Osama Edwan spoke on the record about the online donations to the presidential candidate.
"It could be true that [donations] were made, but as a part of a deliberate set-up to make Obama look bad. ... Aaron Klein reports from the Israel for WND. ... Again, obviously if an actual illegal donation was actually made it should be returned, but it would be interesting to find out who really made it and why," reads an article on the Daily Kos site.
"By the way, Aaron Klein is clearly an [sic] conservative anti-Obama reporter for the ultra-right-wing WorldNetDaily," the site contends.

What does this have to do with the story? The facts are out there. Go to FEC.Gov and search the donations. Geez.
So the fact that they accepted the illegal donations, whether it was a setup or not, makes no difference?
Typical libs.
“The poor guy wouldn’t have accepted the illegal donations, if he knew they came from someone he didn’t know.”
It doesn't matter if it was a set up or not. Obama's campaign, and ultimately Obama, is responsible for accepting illegal donations, set up or no. Vetting the donations is part of the process. Giving the money back when a mistake is made is also part of the process, but apparently Obama and the boys think they can say they returned it and that is good enough!
It is amazing how much obfuscation communist are capable of.
The ultra-left-wing Daily Kos doesn’t deal in facts.
They know their audience.

Amityschild, I think ASA Vet meant that the statement that WND was ultra right wing was kind of a stupid thing for the article to point out as everyone knows they are right wing. At least I hope that is what he/she meant!:)
Mark
of the millions going to Obama through Internet fund raising,is there anyway, or interest by FEC to determine if any, or how much, is foreign. Supposedly it is in small unreported amounts. It seems ripe to circumvent the rules.
booooooooommmmp !!
Tanks! :^D
Not that there's anything wrong with a Citizen of the World receiving donations from other peace-loving C.O.W.s.An investigation will show that the tool of reactionaries, Karl Rove, provided the money orders in a tunnel connecting Egypt with Gaza--
--and that forensic analysis will reveal a watermark from Dick Cheney's bourbon glass.

Greetings ASA Vet:
A lie told often enough becomes accepted as the truth. So I’m growing tired of this repeating assertion World Net Daily (WND) is not a reputable media news source.
Care to cite an instance where news reported by WND was factually incorrect?
Cheers,
OLA
