Through the years, I've told folks outside of SF what's been going on inside SF, and they think I've exagerrated. Even the early 90s "Fight the Right" march had toplessness and nudity. This protest contained mostly TEACHERS Union members, and the usual "community organizers" and activists. It's gotten worse, not better. I'm sorry you are linking to photos; I have learned, people don't believe what is going on in SF. They've just no place in their personal frames of reference to deal with this reality; they're just so busy "clinging to their guns and God".
And in San Francisco Obama made such a statement, his hearers thought it was such a cool thing to say; and in a city where stuff like public sex and indecent behavior is considered a "right", and the standard refrain is "FU".
