Where have all the real men gone?
Top American columnist Kathleen Parker is causing a furore with her new book Save the Males, in which she argues that feminism has neutered men and deprived them of their noble, protective role in society
I know. Saving the males is an unlikely vocation for a 21st-century woman. Most men dont know they need saving; most women consider the idea absurd. When I tell my women friends that I want to save the males, they look at me as if noticing for the first time that I am insane. Then they say something like: Are you out of your mind? This is still a male-dominated world. Its women who need saving. Screw the men!

I ain't worried about you doing any of those things, I'm today concerned about my daughter "going with the flow", so to speak, and trying to be nonconformist, by conforming to this sickly fashion. (Go figure, but that's how it worlks, doesn't it!) Grown, middle aged women displaying ugly tattooes on the smalls of their backs, toe rings (toe rings?), all to attract your stares, so then they can formally charge you with 'sexual harassment'! Don't think it hasn't happened.
by thump in the head I don’t mean beating I mean thump... put your index finger behind your thumb and flick her right between the eyes... not enough to do any damage, but enough to make her sit up and take notice.
Was not advocating violence at women, I’ve never hit a woman nor do I have any intention to.
I wear nice things when appropriate and look damned nice in them, but like I said, its FAR MORE LIKELY you will see me in jeans, tshirt and flannel.
Sorry, but you can’t fix or build things in a gucci suit.
THere is a huge difference between being a slop and being a metrosexual. Just because one doesn’t get a manicure or wear the latest fashion does not make one a slob... I think someones projecting a bit too much.
Where’s murtha? Nevermind...can’t stand to look at him either.
“...Screw the men!”
That about says it all - I am appalled at the way today’s American princesses treat the men in their lives.
And I’m a girl.
The response to the excesses of "feminism" during the 90s was "She has rights; he has responsibilities". It's unfortunate, but true.
bump
Right now, I know of 4 active duty military whose wives have decided to "separate" taking the children with her, and depriving the father of raising his children. And just because "she wants it". Some femmes are trying to use the term of "active duty tours" to use as the "separation" clause. As in here in NC: One year's separation before a divorce can be granted in the courts.
Being a military wife is tough, even in peacetime, but certainly in wartime. Sadly most young women today are too damned selfish from a lifetime of feminist dogma and propoganda to truly live as a military wife, even though they think they can up front.
However divorce for folks who live lives of large seperation is sadly not new, nor exclusively military.
Amen. Heaven on Earth.
Metrosexual is kind of an overused term. It was originally meant to apply to the over-feminized guys who talked about their feelings constantly. But now it seems to have evolved to cover any guy who cares about clothes and grooming.
Yes, you are right.
I am. Mrs. Knitebane seems to agree.
Oddly, I do most of the cooking in our house. However, she does the baking.
It is a constant struggle to maintain my weight when she gets in the mood to make cakes and cookies and pies....
Cha, it figures! :o)
Sounds like you two are a great match.
