Hey, I wasn’t upset, but I never said the president needed the speaker’s approval for a special session. He doesn’t - he can call a special session if the emergency requires it.
However, yesterday during the C-Span press conference, Republicans explained why the president had not called a special session... saying that Pelosi could adjourn it, and they would be back to where they started. This was clearly articulated.
