That being said, I joined the Navy (back in 78) so that I would have tons of steel around me protecting me from the bullets.
I didn’t expect 98,000 tons of steel (and diplomacy).
When offered submarine service I told the recruiter that I didn’t want to be on a boat that was built to sink and does it on a regular basis. (I also turned down the nuke program.)

Yup, but haven’t seen one of those with hard points, ejection seats or a tail hook lately, either.
