Coincidentally, today's online Daily Star/News Egypt has an article about the heavy-handedness of the Egyptian government.
CAIRO: Saad Eddin Ibrahim, the Egyptian-American human right advocate, was sentenced in absentia on Saturday to two years in prison for damaging Egypt’s reputation.

Is it possible to fall out of love with your own country?

YOU never loved this country Naomi. You love yourself. But that's ok, because in America you have the freedom to make those choices, just as I have the freedom to see you as an old, bitter, frigid, narrow-minded rat.

Naomi Wolf prattles about international law and human rights. Which she forgets is not well-protected outside the United States. The Bill Of Rights does not apply in foreign jurisdictions. Its just too much to expect liberals to defend their country abroad!

People like Naomi should remember that everyone here left those places we’re supposed to appease and make happy. There were good reasons why.

Naomi, why not move to a country whose government more closely matches your views?

How about China?

I’m horrified and outraged the Democrat lead congress is vacationing while Americans are in “crisis” at their homes and businesses due to high energy cost!

What communists say is of very little importance. “She” is not welcome in this country. She should leave. Why won’t “she” leave? “She” makes good money bashing Republicans! What a piece of work this Communist is...

So Americans are colluding with a criminal regime. We have become an outlaw nation — a clear and present danger to international law and global stability — among civilized countries that have been our allies. We are — rightly — on Canada’s list of rogue nations that torture.
Europe is still high from Barack Obama’s recent visit. Many Americans, too, hope that an Obama victory in November will roll back this nightmare. But this is no time to yield to delusions. Even if Obama wins, he may well be a radically weakened president. The Bush administration has created a transnational apparatus of lawlessness that he alone, without global intervention, can neither roll back nor control.
Private security firms — for example, Blackwater — will still be operating, accountable neither to him nor to Congress, and not bound, they have argued, by international treaties. Weapons manufacturers and the telecommunications industry, with billions at stake in maintaining a hyped “war on terror” and their new global surveillance market, will deploy a lavishly financed army of lobbyists to defend their interests.

What a hysterical article! She’s downright loopy. Blackwater’s under her bed, taping her calls and drugging her tap water. What a freaking loon.

She also cites that "torture tape" of a whinging al Qaeda terrorist, who they always label a “Canadian minor.” First off, he’s spent almost his whole life in the terrorist hotbeds in the middle east, not Canada, and was captured on the battlefield after he threw the grenade that killed a US soldier. And his “torture video” was laughable. He was basically sobbing and saying that some unnamed evil guys took his eyes and his feet, while the (Canadian, btw) interrogators patiently explain to him that his eyes are still in his head and are working fine and his feet are right at the ends of his legs, where they always were. Then when they offer him some water, he waves his arms around screaming “I can’t move my arms!”

The whole video is like a SNL skit, that could only make screaming moonbat looneys like Naomi uncomfortable. Maybe if the Canadian interrogators wore earthtone outfits, deep-thinking Naomi would feel better.

An outlaw America is a global problem that threatens the rest of the international community. If this regime gets away with flouting international law, what is to prevent the next administration — or this administration, continuing under its secret succession plan in the event of an emergency — from going further and targeting its political opponents at home and abroad?

Boy, she is all-the-way-gone, worrying about the Bush Administration refusing to turn over the government to the next Administration and going on a global assassination purge of all enemies.

I'm sure she's seeing multiple therapists, but I wonder about the efficacy of the particular anti-depressant, anti-schizophrenia, anti-whatever pharamaceutical cocktail they have her on.

Double the dose on everything and make her stop washing it down with vodka.

From wikipedia: "In 2006, the Sunday Herald carried an interview in which Wolf claimed to have taken on the spirit of a 13-year-old boy and saw Jesus Christ.[2] The paper called her comments "more than a little disturbing," and Salon magazine called the confession "truly outlandish."[3]"

So not only is she a pinko fool, she's outright nuts.
