Well, if I had to put a bike on a rack and drive out there; I’d still go. lol. What a fun, safe, secure event with dynomite, respectful, intelligent, freedom loving people. Yeah, I’d want to go; any way I could.

Did the article misrepresent those who ride to Sturgis? I thought is was an event for all those who enjoy riding. Vets included. The article makes it out to be a Motorcycle gang event.

I've been Driving I-29 Regularly the last few days. Bikes are everywhere. Most are on trailers though.

I guess the wild Hog(think Movie) reference was right on. Cross country might be a bit much for those that simply ride from lunch counter to lunch counter.

My ride was a 1968 650 BSA. I gave it up when I met my husband. But every spring I feel that pull, that overwhelming desire to be in the wind again.

This picture isn't of my bike but it's just like her.

**McCain plans to maximize on the crowds by providing the opening act at an annual concert that honours American military veterans at the Buffalo Chip campground, his campaign said Sunday. **

Gotta love the whole thing.

Opening act
Honoring american military veterans
Buffalo Chip campground!

LOL! Should be great!

A pretty lady indeed. British motorbikes were quite popular back in the hippie days (1968 was right in the ballpark). My one friend in Colorado had a Norton which he was in love with, literally. He treated that bike better than his girlfriend.

When I bought my bike she was 19 years old but looked like she'd just left the showroom floor. Some guy had her setting in his garage for years and never rode her. When I cleaned her up she shined like a new penny.

Only problem I had with her was that she was a tad big for me. I'm only 5'2 and weighed about 96 lbs when I had her. LOL!

“Cross country might be a bit much for those that simply ride from lunch counter to lunch counter.”

It can also be a bit much for some of us whose butts have seen six-plus decades. My Harley and I have yet to make it to Sturgis - I’m not really crazy about huge crowds of people - but if I do make it before they make me quit riding, it won’t be on a trailer. Problem is, I’m only good for about 300 miles a day anymore.

Flaglady, you ain’t gonna get any younger so stop worrying about it. Just go do it! 8^)

“My ride was a 1968 650 BSA.”

I had a BSA Lightning and a Triumph Bonneville back in the day. The Brit bikes were a lot of fun. I think I may still have some Whitworth tools hiding in the garage someplace.

he’ll go past the “200,000” puffed-up MSM figures for sure...

It would be great to see a half a million Americans cheering him on. I can't wait to read about it on page D12 of the NYTimes.

I had a boyfriend who rode a Triumph Bonneville. Back in 87 he spilled us in the parking lot at a VFW club. LOL!

Seems they had a lot of pot holes in their lot and they filled them with sand. When we rode over one the back end of the bike fish tailed out from under us and we hit the ground in split second. Both of us were setting there going “What the heck?” LOL!

Watch what you say buddy. When I was in the service some 20 years ago the jap crotch rockets were all the rage. And the drivers were all true blue Americans.

And drink beer! Out of cans, no less!

Absolutely dreadful!"

It usually is. Much better beer often comes in bottles. :-)

Lusting after a Triumph Rocket III just now. I'm saving for a house, but missing a lot of fantastic riding weather here- and am bike-less at the moment. :-(

I don’t know what’s wrong with McCain’s arms/shoulders

If you had been tortured the way McCain was tortured, for as long as he was tortured, by the people who John Kerry, Jane Fonda, and Obama's pal Bill Ayres supported, you might have problems too.

Sen. John McCain will arrive at Philadelphia Airport this morning on his way to a four-hour visit to a Montgomery County business before flying to South Dakota for an appearance in the evening....McCain will arrive at the facility of National Label Co. on Joshua Road in Lafayette Hill around 11 a.m. and spend time speaking with eight small business owners, a campaign official said yesterday.

UB, you got it backwards!

You’re supposed to trailer your bike there, not bike your trailer there . . .
