We who obsess over universal health coverage may soon confront a startling development: The only candidate on a major-party presidential ticket to have proposed and implemented a universal plan could well be a Republican. I speak of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, now high on the list of John McCain's possible running mates.

You, Ok, this conversation, if you want to call it that, with you, has just come to an end. You cant get off your bandwagon, you hate Romney regardless of his conversion to the political pro-life side, you want to hate him, and arguing with you about it is fruitless, pointless, and impossible.
So I see you are conceding.
Yeah, I win!
If it’s so obvious point to some hard evidence then.
Possibly.
I think we’re going to prevail in November.
Love Mitt, but I don't think the pick helps us anywhere. I prefer Palin or Jindal this time around.
Still, it's nice to have a guy who isn't afraid to take the gloves off and get dirty with the ruthless Dems. Mitt won't bring a knife to a political gun fight.
I gotta be honest and say I'm hoping for Palin or Jindal right now. But if it's Mitt - so be it. Maybe, just maybe, he can help an itty bit in Colorado or something - maybe make the Dems spend money in MI to defend their eventual victory there. But Veep is a different situation - it's about adding new voters. Palin or Jindal will do that; I don't think Mitt does.
Still, as I said: I'd still have the bumper sticker on my car and work my usual 60 hours of the “72 Hour GOTV” push in November. No reason to oppose Mitt, just not me first choice for Veep right now.
Cameras following you in the 80’s will say move on. LOL
Vote for McCain all you want, but dont condemn the other folks for having blinders on when you are voting for him with eyes wide open, knowing full well what he is.
I’m not condemning anyone for voting for McCain, as I am doing it also, while holding nose. Now, you find me my post where I condemned other folks for having blinders on if voting for McCain, although I can tell you to not waste your time because I never said it. You need to put your specs on, that’s what you need to do.
That post got whacked a long tome ago. flaglady47 was doing a little facetious posturing.
That post #137 is still there, as of one minute ago. And I wasn’t facetious and I wasn’t posturing. Speak for yourself, not me, please.
I like winning!
Oh Man! I hope Obama wins so much............
k
I think you just won that point since they don’t want to discuss the issue with you anymore and they are calling a end to the conversation. ;)
I wouldn’t bet on that, toots. We Romney backers, of which I am one, will continue to defend and point out the flaws in the opponents’ (that’s you) arguments, vociferously. I just don’t want to waste my breath or time debating ad infinitum with the incorrigibles who are locked into their hatred for Mitt for whatever reason, too many of them because of his religion. So, much to your chagrin I am sure, expect to see a lot more of me and other Romney backers on these hate Romney threads, which is what just about everyone of them turns into at some point. And we Romney backers are becoming legion while your side of the equation is becoming miniscule.
Neither rings with me. It’s not appropriate to equate Jesus to a politician. Thanks :^)
Time to change that tagline, grey.
It has to be at least 50 by now.
“They certianly have the right to think anything they want. And he as the right to mock. No religion is unmockable.”
Including yours, if you have one.
Yes I do have a religion. And anyone can mock it as much as they wish.
Jesus flew?
When Romney is zinging Obama at the VP debate like it’s no one’s business they will ALL be cheering for him with us. Let them laugh now.
