Romney has right RX for McCain
Seattle Times ^ | August 3rd | Froma Harrop

We who obsess over universal health coverage may soon confront a startling development: The only candidate on a major-party presidential ticket to have proposed and implemented a universal plan could well be a Republican. I speak of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, now high on the list of John McCain's possible running mates.

“I HAVE TO PARTY WITH YOU GUYS!” :-)

You are welcome any time. We throw a killer party on the second Saturday in June every year. Some of the best music you could ever hope to hear is played on a stage we set up on our front lawn. MTV's Rock the Cradle winner Crosby Loggins plays most years. We have also had Jonathan McEeun from Hannah McEuen and his brother Nathan. Even World Champion surfer Tom Curren played one year. These guys come and play because we are fun people. When I had my Clinton Protest up on my lawn David Crosby told me he disagreed with what I was saying but loved that I was taking such an active role in democracy and doing it in a humorous way.

Here is a picture of me and the kids (mine are wearing red Jones House Music Shirts) playing a couple of years ago. The picture below is a picture of Kenny and Crosby Loggins taken a few years back. I'm not kidding; you really should come to Old Santa Ynez Day next June.

The last picture is an example of the Yard Art we did in protest of Bill Clinton. The little girl is Stephanie Browning. A few years after this picture was taken she joined the US Army and was awarded a Purple Heart after being severely injured in Iraq by a road side bomb. Stephanie was selected as one of California's 'Woman of the Year' nominated by Congressman Kevin McCarthy.

“I’m not convinced it actually talks.
Maybe it’s just a machine that sends out spam whenever a Romney thread pops up.”

LOL! And they talk about Romneybots. I think we’ve got our very own DiogenisisBoldFaceBot. Push a Romney thread button and the robot spews forth.

“There are lots of issues out there in the world, and you continually seek the perfect in an imperfect world.” The wrongful execution of an alive unborn child is the only issue ... for the child whose life was snuffed out. Or didn’t you realize that in your rush to denigrate such a weighty issue as pro-life in order to support the pro-choice Romney? Mitt Romney is not pro-life, as his own actions and words show. I can see why you want to get eyes off of that fact about Romney.

Isn’t going to happen. Hunter doesn’t bring anything vote-wise to a McCain ticket. He certainly is NOT going to sway his home state, which is a large part of what McCain is going to look for. Hunter should start RIGHT NOW to set up a run for Governor of CA in 2010. He might have some small chance of winning that, depending on who runs against him on the Dem side.
The problems Hunter would bring to the ticket are large, though, given a McCain strategy to go after moderates and independents. They’re by and large not conservative, and in fact are probably turned off by people as conservative as Hunter.
We need to keep in mind that FR is NOT necessarily representative of the views of the whole of the public any more than DKos is. We’re not as hard-over here as they are, but we’re still not the vast majority here.

“I can see why you want to get eyes off of that fact about Romney.”

You’re like a stuck record. What I really want to get my eyes off of is your johnny-one-note posts that are getting so tiresome. You border on fanaticism rather than rational thought on this subject. Difficult to debate with a hard-core fanatic.

What a brave girl!

Some call it brave, others think I am just plain ol' nuts. Here is a picture that shows the tombstones on the corner of my highly visible home during the impeachment proceedings. This house is located at the busiest intersection of Santa Ynez, home of the Reagan Ranch.

That is the kind of stuff we expect from Diogenese.

Hmmmmm, so much that maybe we should can it and sell it. Very popular food, you know. Brand name, DioSpam, guaranteed to fill you up till you are bursting at the seams. And guaranteed to give you indigestion.
