John Rich debuts “Raisin’ McCain”

PANAMA CITY, FL — Country Music star John Rich premiered a new song Friday dedicated to Sen. John McCain at a rally for the GOP presumptive nominee on the Florida Panhandle.

At a “Country First” (get it?) concert, one of the two stars of Big and Rich performed “Raisin’ McCain” as McCain was arriving for a brief rally in Panama City. The song focuses on the Vietnam veteran’s time as a POW and refers to him as a “a real man with an American plan.” (Full lyrics after jump)

“Well we’re all just raisin’ McCain. Everywhere across the USA. You can get on the train or get out of the way. We’re all just raisin’ McCain,” the chorus goes. While it is not likely to takeover the charts like Big and Rich’s recent hit, “Save a horse, ride a cowboy,” the nearly 500 person crowd danced along to the hit. Rich performed the song solo though as his musical partner, Big Kenny, is an Obama supporter. (Video of the event on the link provided)

Yeah, but Big Kenny is pretty darn funny!

They compliment each other well. But I think if they were to split, John Rich would be the one to succeed solo.

It is a great gesture on John Rich's part to make this song for John McCain, and puts a lot of pep and life into the Campaign. I hear not only are the Democrats jealous, but fractured third Parties are too.

Yes he did. He refused to sit down so people behind him could see and when asked to do so, that was his response.

Well, the "Maverick" Republican's campaign finally has its pep rally fight song.

http://www.johnrich.com

Too bad that its lyrics invoke the imagery of lawlessness, disorder, senseless violence and murder!

(sigh)

Despite the wailing of the liberal trolls...we feel no compelling need to allow them a platform to promote their repugnant and obnoxious propaganda from our forum. Free Republic is not a liberal debating society...Our God-given liberty and freedoms are not negotiable.

Thanks for settin' everybody straight!

Dead center in the deep blue zone — Nashville. Where are you?

Nashville is a lovely city. I've been there several times to visit friends, and I'm runnin' down there again after I get back to the USA later this week.

He lives close by already but is building a BIG new house VERY close by. I'll live in the shadow of his 80’ tall concrete monument to Bauhaus. Why he chose to build THAT among our 1 and 1 1/2 story Tudors and cottages is anyone's guess.

(Most musicians seem to have terrible visual sense, IMHO. Gifted one way, deficient in the other.)

Were you there? Or has the story spread far beyond first and second person?

As an outsider, I am not too invovled with “internal” US politics. But, as an outsider, I will also say that: closer to election time, expect propaganda from IRI for their “dissimulation” and “talk round” about nuclear “program”, that IRI will negotiate more, will consider deals, and many more evasions.

These will be evasions, buying time, playing with peoples’ fears, and much more. IRI wants an appeaser & novice, so far as IRI tactics and strategies are concerned, in top job in the U.S. - Obama seems to serve the purpose. I truly hope, McCain is much more aware of IRI’s games.

IRI is very savvy and cunning about propaganda, often soft propaganda. U.S. and EU MSM OFTEN becomes the mouthpiece for IRI - U.S. voters should be very cautious, alert & wise in choosing their next leader.

P.S. - some 3 years ago on Dr Zin’s blog I made a comment that IRI is buying and wasting time until it sees Bush Administration out in order to get a Dem in the White House who is more willing to negotiate - whatever that means and my guess is that it doesn’t and won’t mean anything at all (negotiations).

IRI since at least 4 years ago has thrown much on the path to continue its existence & pursue its ambitions, including Hezbollahs attack on Israel in summer 2006 (another diversion by IRI). Israel should’ve gone the whole mile and more at that time, but was stopped.

Some mistakes weren’t due to IRI, but initiated by the State Department, and ultimately worked in IRI’s favor.

Again, I’d be very cautious if I were an American voter.

In all fairness, not everyone is paid to change their vote like you are.

If you had the facts, you would know I wasn’t paid by Rudy, I volunteered like all of us in Oklahoma that were part of the Steering Committee and I am not paid by Senator McCain who I went to after I was asked the night of the Florida primary.

Why let the pesky facts get in the way of the truth?

You ruined your reputation here when you tried to cram rudi down our throats then stomped off like a 2nd grader throwing a tantrum. You stated on here that you would not engage in the presidential politics because it was a “conflict of interest” - were you lying then or lying now?
