I saw the panel. Fred Barnes said that stunts usually work for liberals but rarely for conseravatives b/c of media.

That’s the whole deal. If the media would have jumped on this like they would have if it had been a Democrat “stunt” it would have been a major turning point. It could have been huge.

Not to worry. This is hot, no matter what Fred Barnes says or anyone else. I never heard Hannity so fired up, just to name one. The House conservatives are rallied too— that counts no matter how few people ‘get it’. The Left is going to hurt from this.

Just imagine if oil were to go back up again because Iran blows its nose. Oil will ultimately keep going up until we have more energy. Time has been on our side from the beginning, and the snowball will only get larger with time. No one can out-argue mathematics.

With FR rignin' the phones off the hook, it WOULD have been a big media event - if only the reps would have stayed there long enough for word to get out. We had people ready to drive hundreds of miles to get there. It was FReepers who got the news onto Drudge, Rush, Fox, etc. Heck, it was FReepers who let other reps know something was happening. There comes a point where the MSM must cover it - IF those involved keep it going long enough for word to spread.

the media picking up the story was slow, but I think it got a good bit of coverage on Fox late in the day and will spread. Don’t think it was a waste of time .. by a long shot .. if nothing else, the base is a lot happier today than it was yesterday. And it has been one moribund base!
