The Book of Morman is just as good as any other book of the Bible for consultation or more likely, quoting to pacify the masses in a crisis.

4. The Bible has many passages to instruct and comfort in the time if need...the book of mormon just has passages that threaten the writer’s wife with death if she complains about his adulterous ways..
5. The Bible was written for “the masses”, both men and women...the book of moprmon was written to give men an excuse to cheat on their wives, and to enslave women...
