John McCain has five weeks to choose his Vice Presidential running mate. Typically the most a presidential candidate can hope for is a partner who does him no harm. That criteria having been met, the choice is only important if the race is close; landslides arent caused or prevented by vice presidential candidates.
So the question for John McCain is who, if anyone can significantly influence Americans to vote Republican in November. The answer is Mitt Romney -- and for many more reasons than that he can deliver Michigans 17 electoral votes to the Republican column for the first time since 1988.

I see some Fred bashers on this topic. Do I have to remind you he kicked everybody else's arse whenever it came to who would you vote for? polls on this site. Fat lot of good it did him. Do I have to remind you he stunk as a candidate and dropped out before Super Tuesday?
It's generally thought that Fred's too old. Hell, he looks and acts older than McCain. He's slow. He's not a good debater. He looks like Sherriff Roscoe's dog. Besides that, maybe he's a good pick. lol. He was a McCain supporter in 2000. But I don't think it's easy to get ole Fred up off the couch these days, with those two grandkids, er, kids of his.

Mormons have horns. That’s why Romney has that marvelous hair. To hide the antlers. He’s a bad pick. Bad debater. Plastic persona. Flip-flopper.

It’s just kind of hilarious that Romney has become the world’s foremost authority on the economy, and that will win it all, but during the primaries no one seemed to realize just how super great he really is.

It really doesn’t matter who McCain chooses, the wrong name will be at the top of the GOP ticket. McCain is a POS and he is running a textbook campaign on how to lose an election.

"At least he (Myth Romney) does not meet secretly with LaRaza." How could you possibly know that?
Are not they still working on his Belmont, MA sanctuary?
and what about his NH and California sanctuaries?

Is it his flexible stance on abortion maybe?
That’s the thought. Evangelicals aren’t comfortable with his change on his abortion stance.
I would like Romney for VP because of his business background but, I’ll take ANYONE who they think will win this election.

>>>>>>For some reason that I cant quite fathom, there are millions of Republican voters who just cant stand Romney. Is it his flexible stance on abortion maybe?Abortion, guns, homo rights, health care, you name it. Romney is without principles. Political expediency drives his shifting politics and always has. Romney is a phony conservative --- a fraud.

Actually its more like if you do not believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God or believe in the Triune Godhead THEN you really are not considered Christian by many people.
Understanding what the Bible says is very subjective. One person may take what it says completely different from another. My problem with many of the bible thumping Baptists is that they only see one way of interpreting it and if you do not see it the way they do you ain't a Christian.
My feeling is that if you believe in Christ you are a Christian. Being a Christian is how you live your life, not how you interpret the Bible.

To: humblegunner
Silly boy. Those women are his daughters in law, and the rest are his sons and grandchildren. His only wife, Ann, married 39 years, is sitting right next to him.
He is the epitome of family values.

Mitt’s public record is that of a hard-line Socialist. I’m not buying his sudden conservative shift. During the primaries, he came off as less than genuine and jittery as if he did not believe his own words.

Tancredo supports Romney now though. You Romneybots sure can put out the lies!
Tancredo has endorsed McCain. After Romney quit. SO that would make him a former Romney supporter, currently a Mac supporter.

Better than the pro-life socialist you were shilling for.

Do you consider embryonic aged humans to be useful sources for stem cells for research, thus killing the embryos for their body parts? Do you think it is pro-life to advocate that parents using in vitro fert to donate their 'leftover' embryonic aged children for research dissection? Romney does. He affirmed that AFTER he claimed to have had a 'Damascus Road' conversion to prolife because of realizing the obscenity of cloning embryos for research and therapies.
Mitt Romney is not yet 100% pro-life and you do him a disservice by making that fasle assertion so condescendingly ... unless of course, you don't consider embryos to be humans yet, as Orrin Hatchlings has verified he defines the 'its'.
