Raleigh, N.C. About 200 to 300 people joined a melee that began inside a Raleigh mall and spilled outside the shopping center during the fight, police said Sunday.
Raleigh Police Department spokesman Jim Sughrue said the gang-related brawl began inside Triangle Town Center Mall on Saturday night at about 8 p.m.. Off-duty officers working at the mall requested assistance, and authorities from the Wake County Sheriff's Office and the N.C. Highway Patrol also responded.
Sughrue said a 15-year-old was stabbed during the incident. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A police officer was also injured with a "significant" cut to his knee that he suffered during a chase. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to recover, Sughrue said.

WTH is going on there? I read about this on another board.
The two yuts....
It sounds like a fight started among a handful of gangbangers, and then hundreds joined in just because it was a slow Saturday night.
Most of them were 16, 17 yrs old.
Well, I’m sure their fathers will spank them soundly for their misbehavior when they get home.../s
NC ping
And they say it’s Crabtree Valley Mall that has the real “youth” problem on Friday and Saturday nights. Guess that has changed. The security at Crabtree Mall is serious...maybe Triangle Town Center will now have to step theirs up a notch also. Pass some serious rules that ban certain people wearing certain gang related clothing, etc. Will stir up cries of discrimination....but it has to be done for the safety of the other patrons of the malls.
...Ah, the two what? Uh... uh, what was that word?
I can see what set ‘em off.

It will take a curfew to keep gangbangers out of the mall. Ban unescorted minors after 4pm and the problems will stop.
I think the word was YOOTHZZZZZZ...
