Well I guess that means we need more “programs!” All Bush’s fault ultimately. We’ve been hearing for decades that more government programs are needed. How did we who were raised as recently as the 1970s manage to grow up and stay out of trouble without “programs?!”

I thought that Bill Clinton's Midnight Basketball was supposed to have cured all of this!

And once St Barrack is president all this poverty and hopelessness in the inner cities will end! In reality I shudder to think of the hopelessness that will persist after 4 years. This would probably give rise to more resentment and lawlessness.

I hope that perhaps in my lifetime we will see a conservative president actually solve some of these problems but I doubt it will—or can, happen.

The criminals the program was aimed at kept stealing the basket balls!
