I think that weve proven that both parents are important in the success of a family, so, no, I dont believe in gay adoption, McCain said in a weekend interview with the New York Times. "I encourage adoption, and I encourage the opportunities for people to adopt children. I encourage the process being less complicated so they can adopt as quickly as possible. And Cindy and I are proud of being adoptive parents."

The Gays are on a rabid charge. Some are trying to present as ambiguous McCain's stand against gay Adoption. McCain believes states should decide and many have. The McCain campaign should realize that most Americans do NOT support gay activist issues whether they be Gay adoption or gay marriage. The best thing to do when gays attack is to ignore them. They are egomaniacs who feed on the attention.

I don’t see this as “denouncing” gay adoption. He simply isn’t in favor of it.

He has never been in support of it though he takes a federalist stance on the issue. Not as tough as I’d like but he has been consistent though some have tried to cloud his stance and a stupid staffer called to clarify unnecessarily his stance on it.

Ah, but you missed McCain's flip-flop. He has since "clarified" his remarks:
John McCain could have been clearer in the interview in stating that his position on gay adoption is that it is a state issue, just as he made it clear in the interview that marriage is a state issue," Tucker Bounds, a campaign spokesman, said in a statement. He was not endorsing any federal legislation."
"Senator McCains expressed his personal preference for children to be raised by a mother and a father wherever possible, Mr. Bounds said in the statement. But the statement added, He recognizes that there are many abandoned children who have yet to find homes. John McCain believes that in those situations that caring parental figures are better for the child than the alternative.

Sorry but you are incorrect;

McCain issues clarification on gay adoption
As several gay rights groups criticized Sen. John McCain for saying he opposed gay adoption, the McCain campaign issued a clarification on Tuesday saying that he believed the issue should be decided by the states, and that such adoptions should not be subject to a federal ban.
(snip)
"John McCain could have been clearer in the interview in stating that his position on gay adoption is that it is a state issue," Tucker Bounds, a campaign spokesman, said.

It’s appalling that this is even an issue. Innocent children
deserve to be raised in healthy, normal environments, not among adults whose identity includes celebration of unnatural acts repugnant to the wholesome imagination. Allowing children to be raised by sexual deviants is an extreme form of child abuse.

10th Amendment. If it is not enumerated as a federal topic in the constitution, then it should be up to the individual states.

While McCain says it should be left up to the states, it is also obvious from his "clarification" that he does not, in fact, oppose gay adoption. From his spokesman: He recognizes that there are many abandoned children who have yet to find homes. John McCain believes that in those situations that caring parental figures are better for the child than the alternative.
