"Gun owners will have to pass vision and written tests"

The requirement for a written test will exclude about 90% of the D.C. population from owning a firearm.

What pisses me off is here in Texas you have to take the same test each time you renew which includes field target shooting w/fast reloads.

In Indiana all you have to do is renew, last time I was there. Anyone know?

In some cases, that may be a good thing.

Sounds like the 1860's era DUmocrats to me, but until that litmus test is put to those same fools in government....

“Gun owners will have to pass vision and written tests”

Why is this constitutional but testing to be allowed to vote is unconstitutional?

Blatant discrimination. Similar to law that was upturned by SCOUSA many years ago which prevented people from voting because they could not read or write.

The right to keep and bear arms is as much a right as the right to vote. So since the court has ruled you can’t require a test to vote, I don’t see how they will allow a written test to own a handgun.
