What pisses me off is here in Texas you have to take the same test each time you renew which includes field target shooting w/fast reloads.

In Indiana all you have to do is renew, last time I was there. Anyone know?

We use to carry our rifles & hunting guns on a rack in the truck going to and from the lease.

Bet you can’t even do that anymore. Haven’t kept up with that because we don’t hunt anymore.

Indiana is pure 'shall issue'...NO testing BS period...

pass the state background check and youre in...renew is simply paying the fee before expiration...

In Georgia there is no test at all, including first time applicants; background check only. As a matter of fact, for my initial license, I simply provided my military ID and no check was run (the law has since changed.)

While I strongly support proficiency, it is an individual responsibility not one that should be required. For that matter, I still struggle with the concept of a license to exercise a fundamental, preexisting right.
