I haven’t lowered my gas budget yet. However the distance I am able to go is greatly greatly reduced. I only drive to work now and my fishing gas has started coming out of my fun money budget. Another $.25 and will either have to cut into other budget items to pay for work gas or I will literally not be able to afford to drive to work one day a week. Public transport in my city is an absolute joke.

“reid rejects bush call to lift drilling moratorium...”

translation: “reid insists on continuing drilling moratorium and depressing american economy-states it is necessary for democrat gains in november...”

(democrats and the exercise of power-scu&bags in action.)

IMHO

“Reid rejects Bush call to lift drilling moratorium (Rats want higher gas prices!)”

Harry just lost the Senate if the stupid party plays this right.

Reid and the democrats should move to another country because they are trying to destroy America.

What do you think old Harry's IQ is? He never sounds very intelligent to me.

I know everyone makes fun of the Presidents IQ, but with a few exceptions (Harriet Myers), I just don't see it.

However, Harry just never seems to say anything intellectual. I think they are just throwing our any sounds bites they can and trying to see if anybody buys it. The idea that not allowing drilling offshore when everyone is suffering is just not very smart.

High gas prices = bad economy

Bad economy = democrat advantage

Pretty much sums it up!

Well, well, well the election in November just got a hell of a lot more interesting.

All the Democrats want to do is have meeting after useless meeting about Carl Rove, what did Bush Knew in 2001 and whether or not some overpaid athlete is taking an illegally baned drug.

All this while America sinks for a lack of a viable energy plan.

Damn Democrats have to go and sooner than later.

It has been their vision to have sky high gas prices for a long time to control people’s behavior and have them drive less and control where they can live rather than where they want to live. Of course, they will use the issue to try to demagogue to blame the Republicans, but they are clearly to blame for their policies and that has been their goal. They also do not want any alternatives to pop up as that would recreate the same problem.

Well, if America, Home of the Stupid, Dumb and Dummer, do not realize that it is the Marxists Dimocrats and their appeasement of the wacko environmental leftists and socialists of their party who want this, then I guess those Stupids deserve $4.00 plus per gallon.

Harry Reid is against Bush's plan for lifting ban on oil drilling? I'm shocked, absolutely shocked.

"Drill, drill, drill has failed, failed, failed," Markey said.

And exactly what drilling would that be, you stupid moron?

I think we're in enough of an energy crisis where the states should disregard the federal government and drill anyway.

On this issue, at the end of the day congress is just a group of idiots whose power is protected by the document that they detest and destroy at every opportunity.

If a state wants to drill, they should start drilling. If the feds cut off highway funds as punishment, the state keeps the tax dollars generated from drilling the oil.

Enough is enough.

Bush needs to finally get out of the shell he’s been in for 7 years, take off the gloves and hold a press conference every day and harp, harp harp on the inaction of the dems on drilling.

Blame the dems for the high price of oil and name, names. And get his surrogates out there on every Sunday morning program.

"Bush announced on Monday that he lifted the executive branch's restriction on offshore exploration, saying only Congress stood in the way of opening up America's untapped oil riches."

There you go folks. Now we know who the real culprits are in us having to pay $4 / gallon for gas: The Bush administration with it's executive ban on drilling, and Congress with it's congressional ban on drilling, not to mention their respective bans on WORKABLE PRACTICAL alternative forms of energy, such as nuclear.

Will Obama be any different? I doubt it. Will McCain be any different? I doubt it.

While they continue to play this charade before us the price of oil will continue to rise.

When the pitchforks and tar are in the streets (metaphorically speaking)the price will magically drop.

Sheeple with automobiles.
