KGO Poll: The White House says President Bush is planning to lift an executive ban on offshore oil drilling, a move that by itself will not lead to more drilling off America's coastlines.

Question: If California offshore oil drilling could dramatically lower the cost of fuel at the pump, would you be okay with it?

Hey, that’s not bad when you consider this is San Francisco where the poll is taken. Even a commie liberal infested stronghold like San Franciso has it almost even.

Well, even in liberal S.F. California area, there are lotsa folks who want more drilling.

Obama continues to say he’s against drilling, and instead of drilling he will invest $150 billion in green energy. But never a word about where the heck he will get $150 billion at a time of massive budget deficits, and trillions in unfunded liabilities for Social Security and Medicare hitting the desk of the next president.

It’s accepting votes, but the link given was to the results.

Go back to the main page, and the poll is on the right-hand side about a page and a half down. click the “yes” and then hit “vote”.

Now at 61% yes.

My Poll question would be: When the price of gas reaches $20.00 per gallon, will you be willing to drill offshore for oil?

I like this alternate question:

Question: Will California offshore oil drilling lower the cost of fuel at the pump at all? Or will the drop in oil cost mysteriously disappear by the time it gets to the pump.
