Amateurs. The head would have been removed and put in place backwards so the vampire would tend to go away should it rise from the grave.
Vampires were killed with wooden stakes through the heart or you could drag them out into the sunlight. Crosses and garlic would drive them away. Stones had abosolutely nothing to do with it!
Does this mean that the Wolfman could have been killed with something else not involving silver? Did Frankenstein always have to burn to death, or get buried in ice? And what about The Mummy? Is it really necessary to have a golden book written in hieroglyphics and someone that can actually speak ancient Eygptian to get rid of him?
Do you realize that this is going to cost about 60 BUCKS in lap-dances to get that graphic out of my brain housing group!

No, it will all work, Hollywood is never wrong. If all else fails, just do what Bud and Lou did...it seemed to work just fine for them.
I have begun to suspect that vampires are really just anemics owho have been taking St. John’s Wort.
Now I’ve had my coffee and have returned to my jovial normal self.
*Rejoice for bad things are about to happen!* -Richard from “Looking for Group”
“When buried, the dead man was weighed down with two big stones, one on his chest and the other on his head.”
Mick and Keith?
Frankenstein's monster was a metaphor for global climate change. As Frankie is burned or frozen, so are we all. < /sarc >

“...vampires are really just anemics owho have been taking St. Johns Wort.”
Only depressed or menopausal vampires take that stuff.
