Why do we continue to screw around with this hit and miss operation? We have the capabilities to carpet bomb every inch of that border area and end this mess once and for all. We could make foothills out of those mountains they are hiding in. Why the hell don’t we do it? The world would be better off with the loss of these murderers, they are certainly not producing anything but terror!
Lord be with these families and comfort them.
These foreign jihadis are also wreaking havoc in Pakistan - unfortunately, the Pakis have a defeatist attitude that prevents them going after the talies and their foreign allies, except in a Clintonesque way - now and again bombing some empty buildings and then backing off for ‘peace talks.’
Time for Kazai to give the word - he threatened to go after the talies across the border = as is his right, since they are killing his people. It would be best if he gave the order to go - with us ‘following’ from above - but if he won't - well, it's past time anyway - let's git ‘er done.
For the mixed bag of feelings in Pakistan, this is an interesting piece -
We've been doing that for years.
Here's the Groundhog Day Playbook:
Pakistan plays footsie with the taliban in their NWFP, birthplace of the talies. (The Pakis are actually scared shite-less of the taliban, who have had carte blance in the province for decades, due to murder and mayhem.)
The talies use the NWFP borderland as safe haven from which to launch attacts into Afghanistan and then scoot back to safety in Pakistan.
We finally get fed up and rattle the sabers at Pakistan.
Pakis, in Clintonesque style, 'attacks' the talies and their foreign fighters with a vow not to let up until they come to heel. They bomb a few empty houses and after 3-5 days of 'fighting', agree to a cease fire and peace talks with the talies.
The talies use the time to regroup and recoup and then attack again.
the Pakis do nothing - until we threaten them again and then the whole thing plays through again.
No more talk.
Time for Kazai to make good on his threat to defend his people and his country who are being attacked by another country - Pakistan.
We'll provide close air support and....
Time to git 'er done/
How about what it is - WOT.
We did not go to war on the Afghan people. You might call it a "Liberation"- how about that?
Not to minimize the tragedy of their deaths but I wonder how many Americans were killed yesterday in America's 10 largest cities.

I heard fast eddie rendell moving the goal posts again this morning. The rat can’t keep embarrassing himself with talk about us losing in Iraq so now he moves the goal post : Sure we wasted time and lives in Iraq and had some success BUT we should have been in Afghanastan finding Bin Laden. Using this logic, we haven’t won WW II because we still have to have troops in Germany,Italy and Japan.

I wouldn’t call that piece a “mixed bag of feelings”.
It’s a direct propaganda piece just like the twaddle spewed by the Imperial Japs, the Nazis, the KGB, Mao Zedung’s Red Guard, and the ghost writers for Ho Chi Minh and Kim Jung-Il.
Given the style, the verbiage, the slant, the spin, it could have been written by the same group of twits.
Utterly juvenile.
And filthy SOBs on another website gloating over their deaths.
