They can’t but they vote for Kennedys, Daleys, and every bum on the Dem ticket here in Cook County.
I’m Catholic, and for the life of me (and the unborn children), I do not understand it. I guess patronage trumps human life in the big city.

Catholics have Confession. We don't need no stinking rationalization

How can they?
Because they “interpret” the Bible in the same way they “interpret” the Constitution—neither of which has anything to do with the way the original documents were written.

Obama is obviously not prolife no doubt.
But McCain is also not prolife either, make no mistake.
There are plenty of sources on the net to point this out.
So for me, McCain is also out, I’ll write in a candidate.

How can Catholics for Obama rationalize their support for the pro-choice candidate? Simple - they are not following the command to live their faith as a light to the world. Period. Thus bringing their "faith" into question...

The headline, of course, says it all: they can rationalize their apostasy all they want, but they can in no rational way defend it on either church or Biblical grounds.
John, in the First Epistle of John, saw these poseurs coming: They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out that it might become plain that they all are not of us.

war, torture, the death penalty, poverty, racismThe application of just war theory to things like the War on Terror, Iraq and Afghanistan are matters of prudential debate. I don't think Democratic pacifism is the only reasonable answer to the solution. John McCain has been a strong opponent of torture, even in the broadened definition of torture that the Left is pushing. As for poverty, government programs and handouts are not the only way to fight it, but also having a strong, free and prosperous economy. Once again, the Democratic party's answers are not necessarily the best concerning this. As for racism, Obama's pastor of 20 years embraces and teaches an explicitly racist ideology, Black liberation theology, and Obama himself stereotypes a whole race of people when he calls his own grandmother a "typical white person". Obama is no cure for racism or racial healing.

There was a Catholics 4 Kerry.org. It was an answer to Catholics Against Kerry. They used a stooge who claimed to be a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. By doing that he endangered the K of C's tax exempt status but of much more importance he was guilty of supporting a man who was an enemy of Catholic Church teaching. I tried to get someone in the K of C to say something publicly about the bum, but got the run around. I was told ( get this the K of C was a non political organization so they didn't want to get involved).
Catholics that care about Catholic teachings won't follow these baby killers. I co-chaired Catholics Against Kerry. We beat him 52/47. McCain will win Catholics 54/44 among all those claiming to be Catholics and 80/20 among real Catholics.

I moved to NY (from the very secular Northwest) a bit over a year ago, and I can tell you this: for many people who profess to be Catholic, it is a cultural identity, and not a set of beliefs.

They can't. 50 million dead American babies makes vapid arguments about "just wars" and "social justice" a joke.
Thou shalt not murder is not a suggestion nor is it subject to opinion or debate like "just wars" and "social justice".
