upstart, walking right out of college and into a position without a lick of hard knocks or humbling pragmatic necessity to be his guide

hey, hey; he's an experienced COMMUNITY ORGANIZER. AND A CONTITUTIONAL SCHOLAR AND PROFESSOR.

What more could the real-life version of President Barrett need?

I understand he may win, but I have a hard time seeing Barak Obama as President. Leaving aside that he is so liberal, I get the impression many of his statements and appearances are on unimportant or trivial subjects. That we should all learn a foreign language, stay in school, perform community service. It’s all nice, but this constant advice-giving diminishes him in my eyes, and I’m thinking in the public at large. Further, if he’s not in a set speech format, he’s pretty weak in Q&A. The author of the article may be onto something.

I don’t think it will be a landslide either way but I could see McCain getting a solid win if the states that were close in 2000 and 2004 but eventually swung Democrat swing this time for McCain. In 2000 Bush won the super close race in Florida but lost the other close elections and again in 2004 won Ohio but lost the other close elections (Florida was not that close in 2004).

I really wish McCain would drop out and someone I could truly support be nominated in his place. But that isn't going to happen, unfortunately, and I have to contemplate doing something I said I'd never do again: vote for McCain.

McCain could never do or say anything at this point that would make me want to vote for him, but Obama can and does daily. Obama is a truly clueless and therefore a very dangerous politician who should NEVER be President. The race industry will take such a statement and claim it is racist, but Obama's ignorance and general stupidity has nothing to do with race. Obama is a puppet and whomever is pulling his strings should not be giving control of this country.

With two of the worst nominees ever now vying for the presidency, anything can happen. As more people begin to realize what a lightweight Obama is, his support could drop off to nothing but those who’d never vote for anyone but a Democrat, and there could be a McCain landside.

Then again, if McCain comes off as too old and too tired, and if he continues to offend conservative Republicans, Obama could win by a comfortable margin.

Either man is capable of major screw-ups, during the campaign or in the Oval Office.

I predict that McCain will win by a huge margin. You may take that prediction with the knowledge that I also predicted huge wins for Bush in '00 and '04.

I am hopeful that when McCain designates his younger and (maybe) more conservative running mate, the age issue will fade.

Then Obama would lose and I wouldn’t be forced to hold my nose and vote for McCain?

That would be nice!

McCain wins big because Obama represents the political correctness that Americans are so sick of.
