Yes we have lost 2 respected journalists and even though especially of recent times Tim Russert was biased and unfortunately as far as many Conservatives are considered his legacy will always be a question mark against him regarding the Libby incident.

Tony Snow on the other hand unless you are a total left wing wacko was respected by all and hardly anyone had a bad word against him regardless of whether you agreed with him or not. He had the ability to disagree without being disagreeable. His friends were across the politcal spectrum and many are saying that he never let politics get in the way of that friendship and often never spoke about politics when socialising with him.

There is so much we could learn from Tony he never ducked or avoided stating what he believed was right whether it be politics or his Christianity but never left those who disagreed with him feeling that they had been personally attacked and many of them in “real life” were close friends.

'His friends were across the politcal spectrum and many are saying that he never let politics get in the way of that friendship'

A perfect example was his friendship with Juan Williams.

Maybe we will see Tony playing his flute again on F&Fs.

Yesterday morning on the C-SPAN call in show people were calling in and making some rude comments about Tony Snow because of his comments about leaving the White House job because it only paid $168,000 USD. They said he was out of touch.

It seems to me that anybody who thinks that $168,000 is a lot of money compared to the average federal government payroll is also out of touch: do they think we ran up a $9 TRILLION (with a T) National Debt because the government pays close to minimum wage?

It also aggravated me that people would call and make rude remarks about a person on the day he died, but then I remembered that to these people, politics is more important than common decency.

Those of us who got posts from him will always cherish them and the time we got to spend listening to his wisdom.
