“Let’s just say that the emotional development of the girl is far more complex and involved than the emotional development of the boys...and that you will spend considerable time in years to come listening to your wife and daughter talk about the travails of girldom...only to find yourself slack-jawed with incomprehension, trying to nod appreciatively while saying to yourself, “Whuh??? I don’t understand any of this!!”
