I felt compelled to check out the comments on DU concerning Tony Snow's passing. Do yourself a favor and don't go there. You'll end up wanting to hunt most of them down like dogs.

I'm proud to be a conservative, especially when we show class about the opposition's misfortune. Clearly they don't have it.

I remember Tony talking about his kitchen remodel and the troubles the contractor kept running into. I think it took two years to complete.

Looking through Tony's comments on FR, I found the thread about Tony's review of D'Souza's response to the new atheist tracts. The thread is titled New Atheists Are Not So Great. In it, Tony made a comment that I think is particularly poignant:

But when it comes to having something substantive to say, something that would provide consolation — that life has meaning; that one doesn’t simply occupy space for a time and then decompose; that there are great overarching principles that give life its depth, joy, texture and purpose; and that those principles arise not from artifice or practice, but from a Creator whose central principle is love — when it comes to making these arguments and more, the atheist must remain mute.
