Thanks Bah. Going to go wander the FNC website and see if there’s anything there. I’ll get back to you if I find anything.
Awwwwwww....that brought tears for sure!
I sent him a Freepmail in mid-June asking if everything
was ok.....I guess it wasn’t.....
He is missed...
This one is very cute (but of course anything right now that is funny regarding Tony is also heartwrenching): Fatherhood after Father's Day--Tony Snow
Also this Washington Times editorial is very good.
The closing paragraphs:
"When the late Woody West, the executive editor at the time, recruited Tony he told me: 'We got a gem.´ And so we did. I´ll remember Tony as a Christian and a gentleman who took his job but not himself seriously, rare in these precincts, who succeeded in Washington - and never forgot that his wife, Jill, and their children were what his success in life was really all about." About that "rarity," and about being "a Christian and a gentleman."
It would be harder to devise an apter description of Tony Snow. The man married civility with conviction each day with gestures small and large, treating alike the weak and powerful while challenging and provoking, in a city where merely to have either real civility or strong and lasting conviction is uncommon enough. Away from the camera, and away from print, the real man was revealed. Tony lived witness to his Christian conviction that each of us is touched by God and worthy of God's grace."
Wonderful stuff, dmd. Thanks.
Thank you for these links...and more insight into this wonderful human being!
It gets harder and harder to read stuff and listen to his
voice that has been silenced except in recorded shows. :(
I heard on one of the Morning Fox shows that the funeral was going to be covered by Fox - but I have yet to hear what time the service is.
Does anybody know what time it starts?
TNT
How sweet!
The White House website says it starts at 10 AM.
Very Rev. David M. O'Connell, C.M., President of The Catholic University of America, presents 2007 CUA commencement speaker Tony Snow with an honorary degree.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Tony Snow at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, July 17, at 10 A.M. The Archbishop of Washington, The Most Reverend Donald Wuerl, will preside, and the President of The Catholic University of America, Very Reverend David O'Connell, will be the Celebrant and Homilist at the Mass in the Shrine's Great Upper Church. President and Mrs. Bush will attend and the Mass will be open to the public. In May of 2007, Tony Snow gave Catholic University's commencement address from the steps of the Basilica from which he will be buried.
Thank you for that information. I will be watching on FOX.
Reading it is a slap in the face for reality setting in.
It’s really happening...........
That is what I was thinking, too....more tears...
For those who wish to remember Tony’s family, you may do so here:

It took me forever to find this post. Now I know why I haven’t accomplished much here these past days.
Thank you, dmd25. I don’t think I can look at that yet. I know the very worst part for me is going to be when they carry Tony’s casket out of the church tomorrow . I’m sure Fox News will be there. This must just be a terrible night for his family.
***mega-sigh***
Having just posted the information on the Trust for the family, it occurred to me that no doubt the President and Vice President have made very generous contributions to the Trust. And it almost goes without saying that Rush will do the same. I just re-read the obituary—thank you for the White House page, dmd25, and see that Dana Farber Institute was one of Tony’s favorite charities. Now I’m torn!
I suspect that Bill O’Reilly will as well. He said something to that effect Monday—making sure that the childrens’ educations would be taken care of as well as any other needs they had. He isn’t my favorite personality, but I can tell that he loved Tony and is a loyal friend.
Praying earnestly for his dear wife and children. May God comfort them as only He can do.
