If anyone had told me I’d spend this much time at my computer I would never have believed it. The fellowship here is just wonderful—and we have Tony to thank for that.

LOL, you are probably right, but my emotions are very raw right now. My favorite new niece and nephew are going to Japan for 3 years and Tony died. My judgment is way off.

I’ve missed the Tony Snow Show thread here ever since Tony left it to become GWB’s press secretary. This weekend it’s really hit home just how much I miss it.

It helped a lot yesterday (Saturday) morning that the SNOWflakes found one another and we were able to share our grief and memories. Tony would have wanted just that for us.

I think he realised that time was short and if he was going to make enough to put his kids through college and allow them and his wife to live the life they had known for many years then there was no alternative.

I am sure he could have done things behind the scenes to earn other cash while at the White House but his honesty would not allow this he could not give his all to both and this was not Tony he had to quit one to concentrate on the other.

What I do not think we realised or wanted to realise that this really showed that his time with us was nearing an end.

Absolutely Dana learned well under Tony and has continued in her way to treat the dialog with the press corp similarly unlike previous press secretaries.

This is something that Tony Snow has changed future press secretaries will incorporate part of this into the job from now on.

A bit like the VP position will have subtle changed after Dick Cheny other VP will be able to cite him to influence policy etc in the future.

The most important thing that I see is how Tony could touch so many people so positively, just as he did you. We do not see his like very often and it’s to our credit that we here appreciated and loved him for just being Tony.
