Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama put himself on the opposite side of his party's leadership in the Senate yesterday by reversing course to support a compromise intelligence surveillance bill. His vote was the most dramatic in a series of moves toward the middle that have focused new attention on where he stands....

Nope, his ideology is socialism. That is clear from everything he has done in his life. His methodology or election strategy is to say whatever it takes to get elected.

It's not difficult to pinpoint at all. His willful long standing associations tell us who he is. His actual positions in IL, the US Senate, and when campaigning for his parties nomination tell us.

He is a militant anti-American and an abject marxist. All of this other shifting, shuck and jiving, triangulating is just a sham to try and get more votes. If elected (God forbid!) he will govern from his far left, anti-American, marxist roots.

It is easy to pinpoint Obama’s ideology, just ignore everything he has said since getting the nomination.

Allow me to say ‘he he’ here - because this is exactly a hot topic of discussion in Holland as I am writing. The young, roughly speaking, adore Obama. He’s sort of a ‘Bono’ or ‘Bob Geldof’ or a young Mandela for them. But the young love idolatry and are not prone to cool, distanced reading.

Older and wiser commentators in our best newspapers, on the contrary, speak otherwise. They are quite ‘desperately’ to make out what exactly mr. Barack does have by way of a structured programme. And web discussions in these very same newspapers did, despite contributions by many educated people, result in exactly nothing.

Although I don’t think Obama is a Marxist, nor a secret agent for Al Qaeda, I am very, very wary when it comes to him. I’d say that he much enjoys his current status as a ‘pop idol’, and that he fears losing in the ratings as soon as he states something factual, something he can’t retract.

Am I right in this?

"Am I right in this?"

You ae correct.

Over here in the good ol'USofA, we simply call him an "empty suit." And that's being nice, because Obama is indeed a Marxist. All liberals in the USA are Marxist.

Maybe he’s going to wait and see if he gets elected, then choose an ideology that best suits the office?

I’ve been arguing with some liberals I know, all of whom claim that Obama is not a Marxist. I know he supports socialized medicine, but what else can I tell them?

I’m starting to wonder if he’s actually more Clinton than Carter, as I’d first thought.

He certainly sounded like a Marxist in the primary. Unfortunately you cant pinpoint McCain's either. I hated Kerry's phoniness (well he got caught so I loved that) and now McCain ,Kerry's buddy ,is following him.

Yeah, right! Good one, Einstein! Obama’s ideology ought to be evident to anyone who knows the first thing about him.

I’d say the National Journal has it right. Obama is a hardcore liberal and all the leftwing media obfuscation from now until November, won’t change that fact.

Tell them it’s obvious he hates America and wants us all weaponless and enslaved, while he and his fellow liberals feed off the carcasses of our young.

Just a thought.

Rush summed up The Messiah Lord Barack Obama pretty well yesterday:

RUSH: Now, wait a minute, Obama -- I'm sorry -- Lord Obama, if we're supposed to learn Spanish, how come you're speaking French here? Now, you heard the audience laughing and somewhat applauding, but I have a different take on this, ladies and gentlemen, and it troubles me. This troubles me greatly. As Tom Daschle used to say, I'm concerned. This is not an isolated incident. You know, Obama wants to go over and make a speech at the Brandenburg Gate where elected presidents have made speeches, JFK and Ronaldus Magnus, and the Germans don't want him over there. They don't want that site used for electioneering. One of the German officials says, "What if Angela Merkel, what if she decided to go to the Mall in Washington while running for the prime minister presidency of Germany?" Now, I get the sense that it's not just related to Obama. I think a lot of Democrats are embarrassed of their country. Obama clearly is. He would prefer to be running for president of a Western European country. He prefers socialism over capitalism; he prefers big government over individuality and self-reliance; he prefers secularism over religion, if truth be told. He prefers pacifism and appeasement over a robust national security and military, and now, he prefers European culture to ours, and rather than urging people in our country to speak English, he urges Americans to speak foreign languages, which is perfectly fine, but when put in the context of all his other views, this is just one more indication of where his head is.

Obama and a lot of Democrats think Americans and America are backwards. You know that they're embarrassed of this country. They think we deserve to be in a constant state of decline because of our excesses and our bullying and our imperialism. They enjoy the suffering of Americans at the gas pump because they think it's Americans' fault. They want suffering and pain going into the election. It is clear to me that The Messiah, Lord Barack Obama, is embarrassed by his own country. That's why he wouldn't initially wear an American flag pin, that's why he constantly complains about America going it alone when in fact we are leading a recalcitrant world against terrorism. We are the solution to the world's problems. We are not the world's problem. Obama and many of his cohorts believe just the opposite. This is why Obama demeans tens of millions of hard-working Americans who have faith, who own guns, and who oppose illegal immigration. This little statement that he made in Powder Springs, Georgia, is not isolated. At a fundraiser in San Francisco, the bitter clinger comment, you remember that. He looks over people in the heartland, flyover country, he looks at the people who make this country work, and he is embarrassed, and he demeans them. (cont.)

His father was a privileged, selfish, drunken lout who disowned Obama and his mother and died in a drunken car accident.

What does it say about Obama that he idolizes his father in his autobiographies and disowns his white mother and grandmother?

He has been brainwashed all his life by Communists, who were allied with black-power advocates. He made sure to attend left-wing colleges where these attitudes could be further fueled. He continued to seek out Communist friends and associates and Black Muslim America-haters.

And despite his caution, he is said to have the most left-wing voting record of any senator, which is saying quite a lot.

I don’t think there’s any doubt where he stands or who he is lying to.

“Maybe he’s going to wait and see if he gets elected, then choose an ideology that best suits the office?”

His ideology is clear although he and an uncurious MSM are doing their best to conceal his murky history. He used the radical left and their $ to propel him thru the primary. Now he is heading centrist to try to charm others that he’s practical and not the most liberal Senate member and an empty suit. But this is just a mirage. The nutty left and Dems really have no where else to go. So they will gripe but still vote for him. Should Obama get elected, he will thumb his nose to the voters in the middle that he hoodwinked into voting from him and will pay back the far left and the Dem Congress with a first year agenda like the U.S. has never seen. After 4 years the country will be near collapse on all fronts.
