It’s rather difficult to say this is reasoned or not with the information provided. Is the Northern League a truly racist organization, or have they noticed problems and reacted?

Is this Mosque a major problem, or has the problem been exagerated.

From here this guy looks worthy of keeping an eye on. He may be implementing sound policy and then again he may be a real problem.

We’ll see how this all plays out over time.

The Lega Nord is very much like many early 20th Century US anti-immigrant parties. They don't want Southern Italians coming into their lands, let alone Muslims or other peoples. Ideally, the would secede from Italy and found their own nation. So, racist is a little strong, but nativist is probably spot on.
