Such a ban would continue to outlaw 9-mm and other popular pistols that are legal in most other places around the United States. And it would make the classic six-shooter the only legal handgun in the District.

It also would be ruled illegal if the liberal idiots had read the ruling.

They do with without rationale, because such are “in common use” by any standard.

Goes against the spirit of the SC decision IMHO.
Hope a sane judge will strike this law down too if passed.
After it gets passed they won’t stop there, it will be caliber size then barrel length then speedloaders - the list will be endless once they get going.

I always recommend revolvers for personal defense for rookie shooters anyway.

Do they just not get it? It isn’t that hard to see that not only does banning hand guns (or any guns) make crime more prevalent, but it’s also illegal! And restrictions like this just amount to a half-hearted ban in my opinion.

Next they’ll get some liberal, idiot, judge to rule that a Revolver is “semi-automatic”, and that single shot handguns in calibers larger than .22 are illegal.

The ONLY proper solution is for Congress to DISBAND the D.C City Council and eliminate the office of mayor.
Governing the city of Washington, D.C. is THEIR job.

Ah yes, the libs once again demonstrate they have no respect for the rule of law. They must insist upon keeping the public under their thumb as much as they can. A dominated public is a controlled public. If the voters of D.C. do not vote the gun controllers out of office they deserve what they get.

“Pluff said the argument for allowing semiautomatic pistols might be overstated, at least when it comes to self-defense. Revolvers are more accurate, more reliable and easier to manage than higher-tech semiautomatic pistols in an emergency, he said.”
BS! When has a semi-auto ever been “out of time”? Never, yet revolvers often are.

Most smart criminals use revolvers anyway so they don’t leave shell casings at the scene of the crime.
Who is this stopping???

So how exactly would they classify the Webley-Fosberry, a semi-auto revolver?
If only revolvers are allowed, I suggest getting a Lemat </sarcasm>
Seriously, this could be good politically if these idiots keep pushing it. It will keep the gun issue in the news and can therefore be a valid question for Obammaseiah.
Barry, how do you feel about the new D.C. handgun ban on pistols?
Barry, do you think the Chicago handgun ban is unconstitutional?

Revolvers are more reliable IMO. Many elderly just don’t have the hand strength to rack a semi.
