Objectively, the choice to believe or not to believe is just a coin toss.
Actually, you're mistaking the means used to determine a choice at random for the choice itself and the reasons for the choice. There's a whole lot more that goes into setting up that scenario than the limitations imposed by the mechanics of the coin toss.
